Crying Isn't A Bad Thing

It's happened to all of us, whether there is just too much going on in your life or someone close to you dies. You just have to let it all go and cry. Many may think that crying is a sign of weakness but that isn't true. Crying can make you stronger, release toxins and relieves stress.

Strengthens Relationships
People may be afraid to cry around their friend(s) or someone important to them, but being vulnerable is the best way to grow closer to someone. Only humans shed tears from emotional stress. Crying is an evolutionary response to draw compassion and support from the people around you.

Removes Toxins
Stress-related tears have been shown to rid the body of a chemical that raises cortisol, the stress hormone. Stress-relates tears are not the same as physical-irritant tears. Ex: chopping onions

Lowers Blood Pressure
It has been shown that people's blood pressure and pulse rate were lowered after crying after therapy sessions.

Relieves Stress
Crying removes manganese from the body. Manganese is a mineral that affects the mood. Unalleviated stress can increase someone's risk of a heart attack and can damage certain parts of their brain.
